Are the natural sciences the only reliable source of human knowledge? Or is there a spectrum of knowledge, within which scientific knowledge plays an important, but not an exclusive, role? In this presentation, Alister McGrath considers the approach usually known as “scientism”, which holds that the natural sciences have a unique or privileged role in creating reliable knowledge of ourselves and our universe.
